Just bring in your contract paperwork and we will take care of the rest. If you would like to purchase an extended service contract, we can also provide several choices. Service contracts take over from where your factory warranty stops coverage. Most comprehensive service contracts will cover almost all mechanical breakdown claims. Motorwerks starts first G-Power M3 Supercharger Installation
We will be the first in the Texas area to install a G-power supercharger on a 2009 BMW m3. We will post pictures and progress. Our kit arrives today from Germany.
We received the kit and I must say it is a beautifully designed kit. There is no other kit I have seen that looks as though BMW designed the kit. We completed installation today. Pictures to be posted soon. Awaiting the ECU from Germany now.

David Anderson
We got David Anderson as a new customer. David is the new center for the Houston Rockets. He is from Australia and came in with his fiance. He is a great guy and all of us at Motorwerks wish him the best.
Good luck David. We will be cheering for you at the games.

Houston Car Race
I went to the race track on Sunday morning. We had a private event in which about 30 cars showed up and we were testing out our performance cars on the track to see who could get the best time for a car to go from 60 miles/hr to 130 miles/hr.
The winner last time this same event happen was a Toyota Supra that ran a 4.6 seconds to go from 60 to 130.
Saw lots of cars run and we had a car we felt was going to be the winner for sure. We were expecting a time below 4 seconds. We had a Porsche that puts out 1102 horse power to the wheels, so the actual horsepower is about 15% higher at the crank.
Here is where racing gets interesting and you experience where things can go wrong. Akram our Porsche expert had fixed the car all night on Friday night, trailered the car and then drove it to Arkansas to get the car to a Dyno and get the tuning done perfect. (That is right, the best tune shop for Porsche is run out of a farm in Arkansas). Drove back all night. Meanwhile we had ordered some new longer lug bolts since the changes we had made required us to put some spacers on the back wheels.
So finally the car gets back to the racetrack after Akram has been working on this car for 3 days straight. We put the new lug nuts in at the racetrack and then realized that the lug nuts were to short. Tried a short run for about 100 feet with some power and checked the bolts afterwards and the bolts were all twisted and we of course for safety reason shut down the car and did not race it after all that.
So in the end, all that money, time and effort were lost because the wrong size lug bolts came to us after we ordered the right ones.
It was a crazy weekend to say the least.
New Experiences. Realized that we need to have a better Quality Assurance program in place. We will have a long talk and make sure that this never happens again.

Motorwerks installs HRE/Dymag Carbon Fiber Wheels
We had a customer that we ordered something special and I wanted you guys to take a look and see if you can spot why they are special.
I would guess this would be the first car in all of Texas with this.
What are they? The are Carbon Fiber Wheels from HRE. They were so light you could pick them up with one finger.
Kind of unusual, figured you guys might like to see them. We were kind of excited about them. We are one of few shops in town that have the Corghi AM50 tire changer that is required to install tires on these wheels.
Why We Love Passionate People
This Dodge Challenger we are fixing up is for a customer from California. He bought the car brand new and had it shipped to us with 20 miles on it. We are putting in Wider Fenders, New Performance Wheels, New Engine, New Suspension (All Titanium Parts), New Interior etc. Basically new and upgraded everything to make it once of the fastest Challengers in USA. The total on the job is about twice the cost of the original car.
I love Motorwerks, because we meet such passionate people. They love cars and money is not an object to get their cars perfect and to a vision that they have conceived of.
It is fun meeting them and talking to them. They are very successful in other lines of business, but the love of cars brings them in to see us. They do not send in their assistants, they come and talk about what they want done.
Keep a watch for this car when he wants to sell it, one of you guys should blindly buy it.
Currently we are working on a M5 for him and I want to buy this car when he wants to sell it. It is completely carbon fiber everything (Including Rims). Dinan performance upgrades.
Here is a picture of it:
First Month
Nerve wracking is saying it kindly. We spent a million dollars building a place and getting it ready. We had the greatest and best equipment. We felt we had the best people. Still sitting and waiting for customers to walk in, is incredibly nerve wracking.
We basically had a few big customers in which we were able to break even, but nervous is an understatement. In the second month we started making friends and advertising and slowly but surely our business is now a success.
This is just a start of the blog. We will explain all the equipment and why we bought what we did. We will explain our cost cutting measure initially to conserve cash flow.

The Next Six Months
Finding the building that would eventually become Motorwerks is another story by itself. We found a great location at the intersection of 59 and 610, the two major roads in Houston. It was in horrible shape. Sunil and Prashant spent almost four months getting it cleaned up and painted. I wish I could show you all the before picture. We only have the after pictures. It was a dump before and we have now transformed it into a palace.
The entire building was filled with cobwebs.
Everyone only sees the present, but we all remember what it was. I have to say that we are rather proud to be a part of revitalizing a blighted part of the city.

A Few Pictures
We Installed Ten foot glass partitions between the showroom and the workshop. We wanted our customers to be able to see what we were doing. I remember being a customer at dealerships and they take your car away and you never know what is happening. They just come back and give you a bill. We wanted to be accountable to our customers.
